Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Trash is for Tossers!

I am a full time activist, girlfriend and friend living in New York City.

I began to work towards becoming Zero Waste one year ago. Since then, my life has improved dramatically. I spend less money, eat better, have more free time, and have eliminated the non-essentials in my home that were taking up what little space I have living in New York City.

Through this blog I hope you can see that Zero Waste lifestyle is simple, cost-effective, timely, fun, & entirely possible for everyone and anyone!

  1. I just started following your blog and I must say, I'm so impressed and inspired by what you're doing. I don't think I can get 100% trash plastic free, but little by little I'd like to start adopting your practices. I have some questions - where do you store your spices? How do you buy oil/vinegar/soy sauce etc in bulk? How do you suggest someone starts freeing their home of plastics? Did you do it little by little or just cold turkey one day? As a Black woman, finding foundation in my shade is already hard enough with the regular brands, any suggestions for organic make up for women of color? And finally do you compost? And if so, how do you do it in an apt/winter (I'm in MN)? So many questions, thanks! Looking forward to following your adventures. Keep up the good work!
